Exclamation nvidia 6800gt AGP 256meg

This is the card i have. Now my problem is my bios wont let me set my AGP apurture(sp?) to 256 only 128 . . .and for awhile it was bottle necked at 64 megs . . .when i try to re-set it to 256 and reboot it says overclocking didnt work hit F1 to enter set up. . . . i have an Asus K8V se Deluxe with bios 1006 any ideas?

Sounds like an asus mobo problem that i have also(k8v-x),at cold boot it will say overclocking failed even when nothing is overclocked,i read at the asus forum that this is a common problem thats asus's fault.

What i do is just quickly reboot again when i get that message and then it boots again properly.Dont hit f1 of f2,just reboot to see if that helps.

Why do you need the aperture at 256MB, anyway? 128MB should be optimum for most circumstances.

ive had a very simmer problem on my asus board it wont clock my cpu up to its standared advertised speed it will only mark it at 1.1 if not i just dont get anything

I to was reading that this was rather common for asus K8V sieries boards . .Anyways i tried what you said and it worked like a charm!! i even went back into the set up to see if it stuck and it did! Thankyou so much is there anything i can help you out with? either in GW or otherwise?

Glad to help,what i need is help with is the thunderhead keep mission,was near the end when everbody on the team was booted from the server,was my 6th try.

Ouch thats no good at all . .unfortunatly im nowhere near that spot yet (i think) im on the ice caves of sorrow. . .if im there in any timely fashion at all i'd be willing to try
